Your Mama's Basic Marinate for Any Meats

In Asia, fried fish or fried chicken is a staple for any home cooked meals. We grew up eating this accompanied with curries, soups and stir-fries - and all households had a version of it no matter your heritage.


Here's a versatile marinate that you can use to fry up fish, chicken and all sorts of seafoods.



INGREDIENTS & DIRECTIONS


Step 1: Marinate

1 whole fish / chicken

1 tablespoon garlic ginger paste

1-2 tablespoon chili powder (according to your spice level)

2 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon fennel seeds (optional and best accompanied with Indian dishes)


Step 2: Deep fry

Deep fry both sides of meat until browned
